Students Visit Antalya Shipyards for A Technical Trip

Technical Visit to Antalya Shipyards by Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and Industrial Design Students
Students from Izmir University of Economics, from the Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and Industrial Design, visited the Antalya Free Zone shipyards on March 15–16 as part of the IA 302 (Interior Architecture Studio II) course. A total of 30 students took part in the trip, accompanied by faculty members from both departments.
As part of the IA 302 course, students are working on a project focused on the interior design of a custom-built boat. To support their design process, students visited the Antalya Free Zone shipyards, where they had the chance to closely examine various types of boats and observe real-life interior design applications within marine environments.
In addition to the shipyard visits, students explored the Antalya Underwater Museum, gaining inspiration from its unique and unconventional setting. They also visited the Antalya Archaeological Museum, where they had the opportunity to explore the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
Our department would like to thank all participants and the organizing team for making this valuable and educational trip possible.
