We are proud to have presented the outcomes of IA 494 Graduation Thesis at the 20th International Conference on Design Principles and Practices, held this year in Rome, Italy.

Students from Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Architecture, explored the interaction between human intelligence and artificial intelligence in an exhibition titled ‘DAILOGUE’. 

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade, in cooperation with the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), and organized by the Central Anatolian Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association with the support of your Institution, the award ceremony for the “Exporters’ Associations – 17th National Furniture Design Competition” is scheduled to take place in September 2026. The competition aims to contribute to the advancement of the furniture sector and highlight the strategic importance of design for the industry.

Senior students from the Department of Textile and Fashion Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) have created a special collection inspired by the works of legendary painters such as Édouard Manet, James Tissot, John Singer Sargent, Gustav Klimt, Tamara de Lempicka, and Frida Kahlo. 

Students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design have reinterpreted the city's historical texture and multicultural structure through the language of art. 

Turkish and Japanese students who came together at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) redesigned the Izmir Painting and Sculpture Museum building in Alsancak as an ‘eco-friendly’ library. 

Prof. Dr. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır, Head of Department of Textile and Fashion Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Duygu Ebru Öngen have created a special collection of 27 hammam bowls designed using fabric pieces.

Students from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) created special designs for the Izmir Power Plant, built in 1928 in Alsancak and considered one of the city’s cultural heritage sites.
